Paid promotion is labelled
Paid placements carry an Advertisement or Sponsored label with the sponsoring business identified. Members must always be able to tell the difference between a member's organic post, a business profile listing, a paid advertisement, a sponsored contest, featured content and an organization announcement.
Review and refusal
Every creative is reviewed before it runs. We may decline, pause or remove any creative that is misleading, unlawful, unsafe, or inconsistent with our community standards, and we may refuse an advertisement for a product we do not allow.
Accurate claims
Advertisers must not make claims they cannot support, must not use deceptive pricing, fake scarcity, fake reviews or fake endorsements, and must not imply that paying for advertising guarantees positive reviews, contest victories, editorial coverage or a particular result. Advertising never affects contest results or voting.
Contest sponsorship is separate
Advertising and contest sponsorship are separate arrangements. Purchasing a Premium Business arrangement never makes a business a contest sponsor. Every sponsorship is reviewed, approved and selected by Halal Lyfestyle LLC, and a business may submit a proposal without any guarantee of selection or placement.
What a sponsored contest must disclose
The sponsor's identity, the prizes and their source, eligibility, participation requirements, deadlines, judging or voting procedures, how results are published, and any applicable restriction. A sponsor cannot manipulate voting, alter results, or claim ownership of member submissions.
Your data and advertising
We do not use private member information for advertising, and we do not sell personal information. Advertisers do not receive member contact details from Outta What?.
Reporting misleading advertising
Any member can report an advertisement that is misleading or prohibited using the Report action on the placement. Reports enter the same review queue as other content and are recorded, and sustained problems can end an advertising arrangement under the Payment and Refund Policy.
