Zero tolerance
There is no place on Outta What? for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. We remove it and we remove the accounts that post it. This applies to every surface: posts, comments, profiles, contest entries, messages, organization updates and advertising creative.
What is not allowed
Threats, targeted harassment, bullying, hate-based attacks, doxxing, stalking, impersonation, fraud, spam, repeated unwanted contact and the deliberate sharing of another person's private information. Nudity and sexual content, and any sexual content involving minors. Graphic violence, or content that glorifies self-harm or eating disorders. Manipulating contests, reviews, engagement, donations or reports. Malicious or deliberately false reporting.
Being a good member
Provide accurate registration information, keep control of your credentials, don't impersonate anyone, respect other members and their intellectual property, follow contest requirements, and respect moderation decisions and the appeal process. Be honest with ingredients and captions, credit the recipe or idea when it came from someone else, and encourage creativity rather than waste.
Food-specific expectations
Post food you actually made, captured through the in-app camera. Never present unsafe food-handling or allergy advice as safe, never market alcohol to minors, and never make health claims you cannot support. The Food Content Rules set the detail.
Reporting
Every post, comment, profile, contest entry, organization, campaign and advertisement has a Report action. Pick the reason that fits and add a note if it helps. The item is hidden from your view straight away and the report goes to our review team with the content and the account attached. Reporters are not identified to the person reported. Deliberately false reports are themselves a violation.
Blocking
You can block any member from their profile. A block is mutual in effect: their content and yours disappear from each other's view, and neither of you can follow or interact with the other. Manage your block list any time in Settings.
How moderation decisions are made
A person reviews every report. We look at the content, the context and the account's history, then take the least severe action that keeps the community safe: no action, a warning, hiding a post or comment, declining a contest entry, a temporary restriction, suspending a profile, or ending an account. Every action is recorded in our audit log with the reviewer, the reason and the time.
Appeals
If your content was hidden or your account restricted and you believe that was a mistake, submit an appeal from Account Management → Moderation and appeals, or reply to the notice you received. A different reviewer looks again and answers within 30 days. Serious violations — especially content that endangers children — are not appealable and are reported to the authorities where the law requires.
